    CLASS A CDL DRIVER

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    As a Class A CDL Driver for Advanced Asphalt Paving & Concrete, LLC, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the successful completion of various construction projects. You’ll be responsible for transporting heavy equipment and materials safely and efficiently to and from job sites, adhering to all traffic and safety regulations. You will be an integral part of the team, representing the company’s commitment to quality and professionalism.     REQUIREMENTS

    • Must be 21 years of age or older
    • No experience required
    • Valid Driver’s License
    • Current up-to-date DOT Physical
    • Be part of a consortium
    • Eligible to work in the United States
    • Can provide TWO legal forms of identification
    • No minimum grade or GED required
    • OSHA 10-hour certification or a commitment to acquire it with the company’s support
    • Must be available to work weekends when required

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Reliable transportation to and from our shop in Grain Valley, MO
    • Must be punctual – our crew departs together from the shop
    • Uphold exceptional attendance
    • Operate a company commercial vehicle
    • Deliver equipment safely to job sites
    • Conduct daily vehicle inspections before leaving our shop
    • Performs various hands-on work while on job site
    • Operate various power tools
    • Familiarity with equipment such as mill machines, pavers, loaders, rollers, and brooms are an advantage
    • Must be able to work outside in extreme heat or other inclement weather, working around moving objects/equipment and traffic
    • Must be able to stand, bend, and lift more than fifty (50) pounds
    • Clean asphalt and other materials off equipment, trailers, etc.
    • Follow Advanced Asphalt’s safety procedures
    • Treat each crew member with dignity and respect

    WAGES & PERKS

    GENERAL LABORER

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    As a General Laborer for Advanced Asphalt Paving & Concrete, LLC you will be responsible for working with others to ensure every job is completed to the customers satisfaction and with the highest quality. Our general laborers consist of paver operators, screed operators, mill operators, shovel men, and rake men. Safety is our top priority, and we ensure that all our team members are trained and equipped with the necessary safety gear to perform their tasks effectively. If you enjoy working outdoors and are committed to quality craftsmanship, this role provides an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive and dynamic environment.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Must be 18 years of age or older
    • No experience required
    • Eligible to work in the United States

    FOREMAN / LEADMAN

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    As Foreman for Advanced Asphalt Paving & Concrete, LLC your primary responsibility is to oversee and manage crew members and equipment in order to safely and profitably complete the job to the customer’s satisfaction. You will coordinate daily tasks, supervise crew members, utilize your knowledge and expertise to provide guidance to troubleshoot any issues that arise to minimize disruptions. You must ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and regulations, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections. Accurate record keeping is essential for this position – documentation of work using daily time sheets and recording materials used. Your leadership will foster a collaborative and motivated team environment, driving excellence in every project undertaken.

    • Follow Advanced Asphalt’s safety procedures and ensure a safe work environment
    • Conduct bi-monthly safety toolbox talks
    • Make customer satisfaction your top priority
    • Complete the job within the scope of work. Do not proceed with any changes of the scope, quantities, or number of mobilizations unless approved by Superintendent or Owner.
    • Set up, order material, and execute the job to specifications and cost budgets
    • Record man-hours and any relevant details on the daily time sheet
    • Ensure that driver logs are completed daily and monitor driver hours of service
    • Stay on-site with the crew to ensure work meets Advanced Asphalt’s standards and customer needs
    • Accurately report equipment, company owned and rentals
    • Must be able to stand, bend, and lift more than fifty (50) pounds
    • Turn in all receipts and delivery tickets with time sheets
    • Complete and turn in equipment repair orders
    • Treat each crew member with dignity and respect
    • Lead by example and ensure that all your team members live by Advanced Asphalt’s core values

    AUTHORIZED DUTIES

    As Foreman for Advanced Asphalt Paving & Concrete, LLC you will be allowed to make decisions within certain boundaries once fully trained by our Superintendent.

    You are authorized to make the following decisions:

    • Rent equipment as necessary to execute the job
    • Complete the job according to scope
    • Purchase materials within scope of job
    • Purchase small tools up to $500 per purchase

    You must obtain approval before proceeding with the following decisions:

    • Hire and terminate hourly employees
    • Performing any work outside of the job scope
    • Make purchases over $500
